In December 2024, I will be rowing solo from La Gomera in Tenerife to Antigua, rowing 3000 miles across the mid-Atlantic ocean as part of the annual World’s Toughest Row (formerly Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge), with rowers from around the world. Living up to its name as “the world’s toughest row”, I will be battling the elements, sleep deprivation and up to 20ft waves to become the first woman of colour to row SOLO across an ocean in aid of my chosen charities. Please see the video below for the 2020 Race Summary.
I will be rowing the Atlantic in order to fund two incredibly important charities, which are both close to my heart:
Their primary aim is research into mental health, focusing on prevention of mental illness, whereas the majority of resources are directed towards treating existing illness.
This is a non-profit founded by my uncle in 1992 that I’ve seen grow over the years. It provides a home and education for orphaned or impoverished children in south India who would otherwise face poverty and exploitation.
Become a part of the adventure by sponsoring or donating to my chosen charities from the DONATE link above.
